What this site counts

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It has no adverts, no trackers and no third-party scripts: every file comes from 4adynamics.com itself.

To learn what people find interesting, the site counts visits. With each page view, and each press of a link or button, your browser sends a short note to this site's own server: which page, which link or button, how you arrived (the website that linked here, or a tag such as "card" for the NFC card), how long the page was open and how far it was scrolled, and the width of the window. The server adds what your connection and browser tell it anyway: the kind of device, browser and system, your browser's language, and the approximate place and network that Cloudflare derives from your connection (country, region, city, time zone, and the network's name and number, such as a university or company).

Your IP address is not stored. To count unique visitors without a cookie, the server mixes your address and your browser's identification string with a random value, and keeps only the result. The random value is replaced when a new day begins (UTC, at the latest with the first visit after that) and the old one is deleted; after that, that day's results can't be linked to any other day or traced back to an address.

The notes are kept on Cloudflare for 60 days, and in Aahaan's own private copy for as long as the site exists, to see how it is used over time. Nobody else gets them.

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is counted at all.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, who, like any host, processes connection data to deliver it. Questions or a request to remove data: hi@4adynamics.com.
